Steps to install a PrestaShop Theme

Download the theme you wish to install and extract the content of the archive onto your computer.
Upload the theme content to the “themes” directory on your PrestaShop store server.
Login to the admin panel of your store and navigate to the preferences tab.
Go to the tab titled appearance, choose the theme you have uploaded in step 1 and click save.
Enjoy your store with a new theme.

Before you go and follow these steps, it is essential that you take a complete backup of all your store data. I always take proper backup of a store data whenever I install a new theme on a store. This is to ensure, in case anything goes wrong I would not have to worry about my crucial site data getting lost. Although an easy process, it is really time consuming. From taking backup to installing a theme and then reviewing each and every element to confirm that everything has been done in the right manner can take from a few hours to a day or more.
